In Visual Studio 2022 17.1 they have released a preview feature related to searching your files. If you enable this preview feature a search index of your code contents will be created. See this blog post here (opens new window).

To enable it, make sure that you are on Visual Studio 2022 17.1. Then navigate to tools:

Then search for preview:

And voila! After a quick restart your search experience should be greatly improved. According to the blog article mentioned earlier:
